Indigestion is the pain or discomfort in the stomach associated with difficulty in digesting food when you create too much acid in the stomach.Indigestion is caused when someone eats too fast, drinks too much alcohol and eating too much high fat foods.Sometimes people have a persistent indigestion that is not related to the reosons i just said. This type of indigestion is called functional, or nonulcer dyspepsia. There are a lot of symptoms in indigestion which include:
·
Bloating (full feeling)
·
Belching and gas
·
Nausea and vomiting
·
Acidic taste
·
Growling stomach
·
Burning in the stomach or upper abdomen
·
Abdominal pain
These symptoms may increase in times of
stress.
People often have heartburn (a burning
sensation deep in the chest) along with indigestion. But heartburn is caused by
stomach acids rising into the esophagus.
Antacids
area class(group)of medicines which help to neutralize the acid content in the
stomach. Baking soda is an alkaline compound. Baking soda and water treats
heartburn. You can take baking soda in a small amount and mix it with some
water and then you drink it. This provides an excellent acid-neutralizing
effect and takes away your pain. A lot of antacids are on the market and there
are in different forms:syrup and tablet. Arcording to my research the best
antacid is the gaviscon antacid but I think that is wrong because I just had an
experiment and I found out that baking soda is the best for you.
